FGH Police Department Accreditation Assessment Team invites public comment

On January 7 - 9, 2013, a team of assessors from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission will be conducting an on-site assessment at the Forrest General Hospital Police Department to ensure compliance with the Mississippi State Standards and The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Standards.  Law enforcement agencies seeking to be accredited by MSLEAC and recognized by CALEA are required to comply with 121 professional standards in order to achieve state accredited and CALEA recognition status.

Pine Grove Behavioral Health Services and the Hattiesburg Coalition for Homelessness will observe National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day with a memorial service on Dec. 21. The community is invited to attend and show their support for those who experience homelessness in their lives and for the Pine Belt organizations who are working to help those individuals.

Wesley Medical Center welcomes John C. Clemmons, Psychologist, to the staff of Wesley Behavioral Health. Dr. Clemmons is a board certified Psychologist with nearly a decade of experience in the areas of behavioral health, traumatic brain injury and pediatrics.

Dr. Clemmons earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nebraska.  He has held both research and teaching positions at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Sleep Apnea is estimated to affect 22 million Americans. Untreated it can lead to depression, heart disease, diabetes, and fatal car crashes. A Free Sleep Apnea Assessment will be held on Wednesday, December 5th by the South Central Sleep Center.

Sullivan is a pharmacist who has devoted 25 years of service to Wesley. She serves as a mentor to employees in the pharmacy and is especially dedicated to ensuring patient safety.
