Forrest General Chaplains to Host Monthly Clergy Prayer Breakfast - April 19

Forrest General’s Pastoral Services staff will host their monthly clergy prayer breakfast on April 19 in the Elm Room at the hospital from 7:45 until 8:45 a.m.

This month, Forrest General’s Infection Preventionist Cathy Blythe will attend to talk with attendees on the topic of “Proper Infection Prevention and Control.” At the conclusion of each meeting, attendees will form small groups for prayer. The hospital’s Pastoral Services staff hopes that these meetings will assist area clergy in meeting the spiritual needs of congregations and the community.

Local Residents Called to Contribute to Historic Cancer Research Effort

Residents of Hattiesburg have a special opportunity to participate in a historic study that has the potential to change the face of cancer for future generations. Men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer are needed to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 . CPS-3 will enroll a diverse population of up to half a million people across the United States and Puerto Rico. The opportunity for local residents to enroll in CPS-3 is being made possible in partnership with Forrest General Hospital on May 8, 10 and 12.
