JCJC’s Greene County Center offering credit & non-credit classes | Events

The following is a press release from Jones County Junior College:

Jones County Junior College’s Center in Leakesville is offering credit and non-credit, and day and night courses this spring.  Registration for all Greene County classes will begin on Nov. 12, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the JCJC center in Leakesville. For more information call (601)-394-4421. 

Credit classes offered:

• College Algebra meets Monday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Speech meets on Tuesday nights from 6 until 9 p.m.
• Intro to CAD-Drafting meets on Tuesday nights from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Western Civilization II meets on Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Intermediate Algebra meets on Thursday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Welding and Cutting Technology meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Non-credit classes include:

• Adult basic education classes meet Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Tuesday nights, 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Microsoft Office will be offered on Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning on January 15, through March 19, for $30.
• Welding will meet Monday and Thursday evenings from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Monday and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning on January 7, through June 27, for $300. 
• Pipe-fitting classes are scheduled from Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.  The night class meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Classes begin January 7, through June 27, for $488.
