Wesley Behavioral Health welcomes John C. Clemmons, Psychologist, to the staff

Wesley Medical Center welcomes John C. Clemmons, Psychologist, to the staff of Wesley Behavioral Health. Dr. Clemmons is a board certified Psychologist with nearly a decade of experience in the areas of behavioral health, traumatic brain injury and pediatrics.

Dr. Clemmons earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nebraska.  He has held both research and teaching positions at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Mississippi Post Offices continue to work toward making 2012 “The Best Holiday Ever” by announcing extended last minute hours and identifying alternate access locations for purchasing stamps and mailing packages outside your local Post Office.  Nationally, the Postal Service expects to deliver 365 million packages this holiday season — a 20 percent increase over 2011.  In total, nearly 18 billion cards, letters and packages will be delivered between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.

Wesley Medical Center proudly names Karen “Kay” Sullivan as the 2012 recipient of the Margaret LaFon Employee of the Year Award. Sullivan is a pharmacist who has devoted 25 years of service to Wesley. She serves as a mentor to employees in the pharmacy and is especially dedicated to ensuring patient safety.

Gov. Bryant, GE Aviation announce start of hiring at Ellisville plant

The following is a press release from the State of Mississippi:

Gov. Phil Bryant and officials from GE Aviation today announced the company’s new 340,000-square-foot composites manufacturing facility in Ellisville, Miss., is nearing completion, and the company will begin the hiring process in November.

GE Aviation expects to employ 250 workers at the plant within the next five years. Employees will be engaged in the production of advanced composite components for aircraft engines and systems.

The 2013 class of Leadership Jones County was introduced Thursday night at a reception at the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. The event got its kick off with an orientation session for participants only. Facilitators for the orientation were EDA Chairman and previous LJC Board Member, Linda Gavin of South Central Regional Medical Center and George Bassi, LJC Board Member and Executive Director of the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.
